The Corrections industry at all levels collectively agree that the many tasks that revolve around Inmate funds management can be extremely tedious, time-consuming, inconvenient and costly to a correctional organization. PayMate is a state-of-the-art combination of proprietary software, proprietary kiosk, biometric hardware, server and workstation technologies running on Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Server 2003 platforms. The PayMate biometric payment and transaction system dramatically reduces labor and administration requirements by automatically receiving and processing funds in multiple formats on behalf of Inmates during their stay. In addition to processing funds, PayMate will also immediately dispense available funds to Inmates at their time of release in the form of either currency or an ATM debit card that can be immediately used at millions of stores and ATMs worldwide. Staff administration of the PayMate system is reduced to literally minutes while existing methods of performing these same functions can take hours or even days to complete and are prone to errors and fraud.
Other key features of the PayMate system are the immediate benefits to cash flow and bank reconciliation timeframes. Since all transactions are handled electronically behind the scenes and checks are no longer being distributed to inmates, the check cashing and processing delays and other inconveniences associated with checks are eliminated. Since cash and coin no longer needs to be disbursed, the associated inconveniences and risks of using real money are eliminated as well.

Each PayMate solution is installed and integrated custom to a particular facility's unique requirements and existing technology.
